Brand Regard is owned and run by Transmit ehf. We're an Icelandic company with half our team based in London. Transmit was founded in mid 2009 and we launched our first product, Smelltu, later that year. Smelltu is an Icelandic product that measures the performance of display advertisements (in human, that means banners) and we estimate Smelltu now tracks 20% of every banner displayed in the Icelandic online media.
In 2009, Transmit received a grant from The Icelandic Technology Fund (Tækniþróunarsjóður) which made it possible for us to build the first version of our flagship product, Brand Regard.
In April 2010 both Brand Regard and Smelltu were top 10 finalists in Iceland's premier busieness idea competition
Gulleggið (The Golden Egg), run by business incubator Innovit. Brand Regard placed 2nd in the competition.
Transmit is also recognized as an innovator by Iceland's biggest research fund Rannis, the Icelandic Centre for Research.

Agnar Sigmarsson – Founder and Commercial Director
Agnar Sigmarsson is in charge of marketing and business development. Agnar launched his business career at age 6, making money off local college kids by collecting their recyclables and cashing in the refund. This venture ended when school authorities decided he was making to much money and started doing it themselves. Agnar worked as a stockbroker for investment bank VBS before co-founding Transmit.

Arnar Tumi Þorsteinsson – Technology Director

Tumi’s background is in making robots play football. An electronics engineer educated at Denmark’s DTU, he’s responsible for much of the latest, greatest additions to the Brand Regard code-base. When Transmit has enough cash to start conducting blue-sky research, Tumi will be responsible for developing and deploying the first Transmit robot, which will specialize in fetching a cold one for the team when we need a break.
